“Free solar” is not a thing
Anyone offering it free is describing a loan or a lease and hoping you do not ask which. There is a real cost and a real monthly figure, and a licensed Florida contractor will show you both before you sign anything.
What decides whether solar makes sense for my home?
Your usage, your utility's rate and its rules for solar, your shade and the direction your roof faces. Nobody can tell you how they add up before looking at your roof and your bill, and that is what the consultation is for.
Will solar keep my power on in an outage?
Usually only with a battery. A standard solar system switches itself off when the grid goes down, so a crew working on the lines is not hurt by power flowing back. Backup during outages normally comes from battery storage, which the consultant can go through with you. What a battery keeps running depends on system design.
Can I meet by phone?
Yes. An online video call or a phone call takes about 30 minutes. Home visits take about an hour and are offered in parts of Central Florida, Tampa Bay and the Space Coast; when you book, we check your ZIP code.
What happens on the call?
Your consultant shares their screen, looks at your home and your electric bill with you, and explains your options: solar, battery backup, or both. Ask anything you like.
What should I have ready?
Just a recent electric bill, if you have one handy. It lets your consultant show you numbers for your own home instead of averages.
Can my partner join?
Yes, and we recommend it. Anyone who would be part of the decision can join the same video link from wherever they are.
